The University Senate is holding a special meeting to discuss Governor Patton's Plan for Postsecondary Education. President Charles T. Wethington, Jr. and Chancellors Elisabeth Zinser, James Holsinger, and Ben Carr will participate in the discussion. The Senate Council encourages all to attend and, in preparation, to review the Governor's Plan and President Wethington's 3/25/97 Memo on Sustaining and Advancing the University of Kentucky as the Research, Land Grant Institution for the Commonwealth and as a National Model for the Future. If you need a copy of either, contact the Senate Council Office.

In preparation for this discussion, you are asked to submit any questions or comments for the President concerning the plan in writing to the Senate Council Office by 12:00 noon on April 7. Again, everyone is highly encouraged to attend and participate in this important discussion.
