Senate-Run Elections
College Elections
The process for conducting college elections to identify colleges’ representatives on Senate takes place every spring, in the middle of the spring semester. Colleges are responsible for conducting elections for their representative(s) on Senate, although the Senate Rules and Elections Committee (SREC) is responsible for certifying election results.
Faculty Trustee Elections
Faculty trustee elections are held regularly on a three-year cycle, but if a sitting faculty trustee steps down, an election will be held as soon as a vacancy is announced.
Senate Council Elections
The Senate Council election process begins late in the fall semester, in accordance with the requirements in Senate Rules 1.3.1.2.1.
