As of June 14, 2024, the University Senate is dissolved and will be replaced by a Faculty Senate. During the transition, this site will continue to hold relevant information for the continuation of duties. The previous University Senate rules have been transitioned to Administrative Regulations. Information on Curriculog, proposals and syllabi has permanently moved to the Office of the Provost website under Curriculum Proposals.

Selection Criteria for University Senate Award

Nominee has contributed to the University Senate by showing active and exemplary service on one or more Senate committees during his/her tenure.
Nominee has made notable substantive contributions to the Senate and administration while working with the faculty at large on important issues that impact the faculty mission at the University of Kentucky.
Nominee has consistently given a strong voice to faculty issues in forums such as Senate meetings, public events, and/or local/regional news media and actively defended the principle of shared governance in University forums and debates.
Nominee is effective in promoting and supporting the Senate’s broader agenda and goals.
Nominee has provided exemplary service critical for the success of faculty governance at the University of Kentucky.
