  • All college and program-specific language in Section 4 and Section 5 moved to new appendices 10.3, 10.4, and 10.5. As a result, many references in Sections 4 and 5 are now slightly different.

Section 1: The University Senate

  • Interpretation to 1.4.1 (“Structure of University Senate Committees”) – clarified that emeritus faculty can serve as voting members of Senate committees
  • Change to 1.4.3.2.1 (“Senate UK Core Education Committee,” “Composition”) – changed reappointment language
  • Change to 1.4.3.4 (“Senate Retroactive Withdrawal Appeals Committee (SRWAC)”) – changed composition
  • Change to 1.4.3.5 (“Senate Academic Advising Committee (SacAC)”) – changed composition

Section 3: Programs, Courses, and Curriculum Procedures

  • Change regarding Undergraduate Certificates in 3.1.1.2 [was 4.2.8 but now split into 3.1.1.2 and 4.2.3] – added description and updated language about approvals

  • Change to 4.2.3.2 [now 10.3.2.2] (“College of Pharmacy”) – updated requirements

  • Change to 5.1.8.2 [now 5.1.7.2.1] (“Unilateral Withdrawals,” “Time Period”) – simplified description of withdrawal period and removed outdated interpretations
  • Change to 5.1.8.5 [now 5.1.7.5.1] (“Retroactive Withdrawal,” “Requirements”) – clarified when a retroactive withdrawal is permitted in cases of academic offenses
  • Interpretation to 5.2.4.2.1 [now 5.2.5.2.1] (“Excused Absences,” “Acceptable Excuses”) programs with licensure or accrediting components can establish policies and consequences regarding students with multiple job-interview-related excused absences
  • Interpretation of 5.2.4.2.2 [now 5.2.5.2.2] (“Making Up Graded Work”) – reorganized language regarding “prior notification” and clarified make-up opportunities for students who add after the first day of classes
  • Interpretation of 5.2.4.6 [now 5.2.5.6] (“Dead Week”) – clarified that distance learning courses are also subject to Dead Week rules
